City Awarded $14 million dollar Home Key Grant!
Congratulations to city staff for all of their work that has resulted in the City of Richmond being awarded a $14 million dollar Home Key state grant!
This grant will fund the acquisition of the Motel 6 at 425 24th Street in Richmond and its conversion into 48 studio apartment units to provide permanent supportive affordable housing for the chronically homeless in Richmond.
Permanent supportive affordable housing means that people who have been living on the street or in encampments for extended periods of time will have 24 hour support transitioning out of houselessness including extensive support dealing with all of the trauma that living unhoused can create

Vivienda asequible y de apoyo permanente significa que las personas que han estado viviendo en la calle o en campamentos durante períodos prolongados tendrán apoyo las 24 horas para salir de la falta de vivienda, incluido un amplio apoyo para lidiar con todo el trauma que puede crear vivir sin vivienda.
